This Internet-based package provides a unique academic support facility that has been specifically designed for use with any

technology, automotive, information technology, or electronics program.  Addressing the areas of math, IT skills and English

language arts, the system uses a series of structured pre-tests.  These automatically generate a prescriptive academic support

pathway for each individual student.  If a student performs well within a pretest, they will be exempt from working through

chapters in which they have demonstrated adequate skill. The learning material uses high quality graphics, interactive animations

and full audio support to deliver the content. Integrated assessments test student understanding and retention, and provide instant

feedback on progress. Worksheets can be downloaded, printed and completed by students for inclusion in their portfolio as evidence

of work.  The Internet based academic support material is accessed by tutors and students via the LJ ClassCampus virtual learning

environment, which enables “anytime –anywhere” learning.  The system also offers the options of generating versions of the

pre-tests so that the teacher can use them with a whole class. A student response system, ClassActSRS, allows individual students

to respond to the assessments using an infrared keypad device.
